In a bid to compete with the popularity of the NBA and NHL, Costco will begin selling its own cooking oil.
It will be made from algae oil and the company says the algae oil can be found in almost any food, including fish and chicken.
The company is selling the algae-based cooking oil to consumers for $8 a bottle.
Costco says it’s the first of its kind to offer a non-GMO alternative to traditional cooking oil and that its algae oil is the cheapest available.
Costco is also offering a limited-time offer to customers who buy a Costco Prime membership.
Costco’s algae oil, which costs about $7.50 a can, is made with organic and sustainable algae.
